The U.S. Embassy said Thursday that it is encouraging Brazil to buy Boeing-built F-18 Super Hornet fighter jets _ one of three models selected by Latin America’s largest nation as finalists for a fleet revamp.

I forgot to mention: the combat air planes need to be exchanged for modern ones, because countries like Venezuela and Colombia have already bought new supersonics.
