I am glad that the people are suffering for their own follies. It is well known that bats carry rabies virus. There have been hundreds of incidences when people got infected with rabies after contact with bats. Now destroy their habitats and they will come back to live with you and pass you their diseases.

I wish they could smell the people involved in logging and targeted them specifically. This would have terrorized the loggers from carrying out logging activities. The politicians must take strong and immediate action to save the Amazonian rainforest.

Hrmm - someone may have edited the sensationalist ”vampires kill 23 people” to a much more appropriate ”vampire bats kill 23 people”...

You should not have edited it because sometimes news should be presented in a fun way. This is a serious matter, but the headline, if said everything, would have not made as many people read it as the former headline might have attracted.

I guess Gabriel Van Helsing could be called in to tackle the problem. After all he is an expert vampire hunter.
This might look like a joke, but it isn't so actually. Deforestation is a crime and it must be stopped by any means as soon as possible.
