The reason such dwellings are constructed is because of all the crime and poverty, and the dirt around the rich. They can’t take the dirt and the violence! So, in reality they do not have a choice but to live in ghettos.

I’m sure most of these residents are expats. They head the big industries and corporations in Sao Paulo. That means its corporate money that builds these houses.
